Annie Marie Davis

Sister Annie Marie Davis of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 23, 1950, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Mose and Ernestine Minor. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Claudia Childs and Stella Mae Taggart; and 3 brothers, Mose Minor, Jr., Phillip Minor, and Michael Minor. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Centennial Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend S. B. Scott. She remained a member under the leaderships of Reverend Dr. L. K. Solomon, Pastor Emeritus and Reverend Brian L. Castle, Pastor of Indiana Street Missionary Baptist Church. As a Contract Specialist with the Pine Bluff Arsenal, she devoted 29 years of service. Annie was a faithful member of the Indiana Street Missionary Baptist Church Mass Choir, and the Mission Society. She also served as the Youth Choir Director for over 20 years. She served as a member of the Cosmopolitan Choir and the Consolidated Saint Marion Baptist District. Annie was the Health Ministry Director for the Consolidated Saint Marion Baptist District Association where she enjoyed planning and implementing annual health fairs. She was also named the 2016 Queen of the Consolidated Saint Marion Baptist District Association. She was a compassionate and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend. Her hobbies included cooking, playing piano, listening to gospel music, participating in church activities, and being one of the most memorable radio broadcasting host at KCAT and KYDE. Annie was known for being passionate about her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband of 42 years, Lein C. Davis of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; son, Curtis (Colette) Cohen of Little Rock, Arkansas; and daughter, Charmaine Wilson of Charleston, West Virginia; sister, Justine Minor of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and brother, Floyd (Gwen) Minor of Gambrill, Maryland; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Viewing 7:30pm to 8:30pm Friday, October 9, 2020, at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff, AR. Funeral service 1p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Indiana Street Missionary Baptist Church. Interment at Cypress Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. Due to COVID-19, the family request the public to show their expression of love by viewing the body at Brown's Funeral Home to express their condolences.
