Irving Donald Seager, 91, of Little Rock, passed from this life on October 19, 2020. He was born February 2, 1929, in Urbana, Illinois, the son of the late Dr. Lloyd D. and Oma Pierce Seager. He was a research scientist for Mead Chemical Company in Evansville, Ind., a Biology teacher at Hall High School, Parkview High School and Walnut Valley Christian Academy. Irving served in the Korean War in the United States Army, Second Infantry Division. Mr. Seager was a founding member and deacon of the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Little Rock. He was a much-loved brother, father, teacher, and friend to many who will deeply miss him. In addition to his parents Mr. Seager was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty George Seager; daughter, Karen Seager Curley; aunt, Bernice Flanagan; and sister, Miriam Braswell. Survivors include his sister, Loretta Durst and niece, Deb Durst, both of Bandera, Texas; daughter, Dianne Seager of Little Rock; grandchildren, Michael Seager Bell of Texas, Amanda (Nick) Price of Little Rock, and Shane Curley of New York. Other survivors include great-grandchildren, Julia Bell, Isabella and Emma Grace Price, son-in-law, James Curley, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2020, at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
