CLAY MARSHAL SIMS, 37, of Marche, Ark., was unexpectedly taken from his family and many friends on October 21 2020. He leaves behind a wife Alison Sims, two children, Lily and Hudson, his mother Angela Brewczynski Covert (Jeff); his father Tracy Sims (Betty), a sister Katelyn Henson (Terry) and grandmothers Lois Brewczynski and Judy Sims and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers John B Brewczynski Jr and Bobby Sims, an uncle John B Brewczynski III and two cousins Eric Day and Jacob Hynum. Clay served proudly as a US Marine, choosing to serve his country following 9/11. An Iraqi veteran and medal recipient including a Purple Heart. Clay was a member of Millwright Local Union 216 and a skilled welder. Clay loved music; he was truly talented; it was not unusual to see him sitting on the front porch picking his guitar. Clay will be interred with military honors at the Edgewood Cemetery in North Little Rock, Ark. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 following a 1 p.m. service at Freedom Baptist Church, 18506 MacArthur Drive in North Little Rock. Visitation will be Monday, October 26, 2020 at 6 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home on Main Street in North Little Rock. Please practice social distancing and the family asks that attendees wear a face mask to aid in preventing the spread of Covid-19. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to in support of Veterans and those who battle PTSD thru the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) by going to www.dav.org or support music in schools through THEA by sending a donation in Clay's name to paul@theafoundation.com.
