Maurice Lee Moore, Jr.

Maurice Lee Moore, Jr. of Bella Vista, Ark., died October 26, 2020, at Circle of Life, in Bentonville. He was born January 28, 1935, in Rogers, Ark., the son of Maurice and Christine Eoff Moore who proceed him in death. Lee graduated from Lincoln High School, Lincoln Ark. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean war, and played in the Army band. Graduated from John Brown University, in Siloam Spring, Ark., with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received a Certificate of Elementary Education, from the University of Arkansas, in Fayetteville, and taught 5th and 6th grades in Bentonville, and Rogers, for 25 years. Later Lee worked for Wal-Mart, in the Loss Prevention department in Bentonville. Lee loved to travel. He had been to all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, and several Asian counties. Lee loved sports especially the Razorbacks, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of New Life Christian Church, Bella Vista, and a member of the Gideons, Bella Vista Chapter. Survived by his loving wife Linda of the home; son Matthew Moore, and wife Lisa of Shawnee, Kan., Mary Schopp, and husband Bill of Rogers, stepson, Michael Featherston and Rachel Sproston of Hong Kong; three granddaughters, Emily, and Lauren Moore, of Shawnee, Kan., Elizabeth Schopp of Rogers, Ark.; sister, Alice McQuay, of Siloam Springs; brothers, Douglas Moore, and wife Jerri of Fort Smith, Paul Moore, and wife Beth of Nashville, Tenn; several nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, October 31, at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rogers Humane Society, 407 E.
