Danielle "Dani" Leigh Merkt

Danielle "Dani" Leigh Merkt, born in Little Rock, Ark., on October 8, 1990, passed away suddenly on October 24, 2020, in her hometown. Danielle is preceded in death by her mother, Tonja Davette Smith; her sister, Davanna June Knox; and her grandmother, Floyce June Lucky. She is survived by her husband, Jeffery Merkt; her four children, Korbin Merkt, Persephone Merkt, Alek Merkt, and Gotham Merkt; and her brother, Brian Elam. Dani was a woman that you could never forget. She was an excellent mother that loved all her children deeply. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was spitfire and did not take lip from anyone. Dani always tried to make the best out of life and could make anybody laugh. Her quirkiness, her smiles, and all the memories that she shared with friends and loved ones will be cherished forever. Visitation will be held October 31, 2020, from 4-8 pm. Funeral service will be held on November 1, 2020, at 2 p.m. Both will be located at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock, Ark. Flowers and condolences may be sent to this location. Burial will be at Rainey Cemetery in Roland, Ark., 72135. We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 50 people at one time.
