Jerry Watts

Jerry A. Watts, 79, of Pine Bluff passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020. He was born May 28, 1941 at Marvell to the late Henry and Dorothy Lynch Watts. Jerry was reared and educated in Marvell, then served in the US Army in Germany for two years. He married Bettye Dailey on January 14, 1966 in Wright, then moved to Pine Bluff. He worked for International Paper for 32 years as a maintenance foreman before he retired. Jerry loved playing golf and he loved the Razorbacks. He enjoyed camping, fishing and was an avid bird watcher. He was a member of Shannon Road Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death were his siblings, Stanley Watts, Allen Watts, Kathy Walker and Doris Wallace. Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bettye Watts; daughter, Cindy Nanny (Carl); son, Eric Watts; five grandchildren, Landon, Alec, Skyler, Gunner and Gracen; and one great grandchild, Claire. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 30, 2020 at Shannon Road Baptist Church in Pine Bluff with Bro. Josh Blevins officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Online condolences at www.rfwhitehall.com.
