Pat Dunne (nee Lally) was born Feb. 22, 1938 in Memphis, Tenn. In the 2nd grade of Immaculate Conception School in Memphis, she and her family moved to Crossett, Ark., and then a few months later to McGehee, Ark., where she attended McGehee High School, graduating in 1956. After a few years in a college in Mississippi she married Claude ("Buster") Dunne, Jr. on Jan. 3, 1959. They lived in Ft. Wayne, Ind., at first, and then moved back to Arkansas (DeQueen, Hope, and then Helena), before living in Cherokee Village, Ark., where her husband "Buster" preceded her in death. Pat ("Trisha" by her family) worked principally as a dental assistant, following in the footsteps of her father (Dr. Edward C. Lally, wife Evelyn) of McGehee, Ark. Pat and "Buster" loved to ride their Honda Goldwing motorcycle all over the United States and Canada….camping out as they went. Pat was an avid bridge player, becoming a Life Master in duplicate bridge in 2018. She also loved to play golf and do wonderful craft works which she generously gave to friends and church functions. One of Pat's true adventures was the night Elvis came to visit her home - March 25, 1955, the evening Elvis and two band members presented a concert at Dermott High School. Pat was a junior at McGehee High School, and joined several friends attending the concert. Pat and her friends invited Elvis and his band to an after-concert party at Pat's home, where a crowd gathered to welcome them. Pat got the privilege of riding with Elvis in the front seat of his pink Cadillac convertible! Elvis was very polite and grateful to Pat's mother, Evelyn, for the hospitality. After Pat's parents had moved to Biloxi, Pat was in the audience of the Air Force Officers Club Elvis concert! Elvis remembered Pat and her mother's hospitality, when he took time to speak to her. Pat treasured the experience and loved sharing her story! The story got better over the years. Pat is survived by her two sons, David Dunne, and Steven Dunne (Cyndia) and their three children, Hunter and Katelyn Dunne, and Angela Laliberte; brothers, Rev. Joachim Lally, CSP, and Dr. Mike Lally (Connie); sister, Peggy Muncy (Lee); and nephews and nieces, Megan (Spades), John Michael Lally, Jr., Drew Courtway, Brad Courtway, and Melissa Cullen. Arrangements are pending. Her cremains will be interred, alongside the cremains of her deceased husband of 53 years, "Buster", in Cherokee Village, Ark. Online condolences can be made at www.cedarvalefuneralhome.com Services were held at 11 a.m., September 24, 2020, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
