Jack Massimino, age 90, of Rogers, passed away April 6, 2021. He grew up in Fort Smith where he attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated in 1948 from St. Anne's Academy. Jack served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the destroyer USS Brush. He was very proud of his military service and looked forward to the ship's reunions where he would reminisce with old friends and visit different areas of the country. After his military service, he relocated to Southern California with his wife Mary where they started a family and raised three daughters. He attended Catholic churches all his life, and was most recently a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and at one time, served as Grand Knight. After 39 years in California, he happily retired to Arkansas. He was a member of Rogers American Legion Post 100. He proudly served in the Honor Guard for many years. He loved his country and wanted to honor all those who served it. Jack was known for his sense of humor, and his friendliness to all. He loved his family, his church, animals, sweets of every kind, and college football. Even in California, he loudly supported his Arkansas Razorbacks! He was the greatest, most supportive husband and father anyone could hope for. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lillian, and his older sisters Martha and Nadine. He is survived by his wife Mary with whom he spent 65 wonderful years, his three daughters, two grandchildren and five nieces and nephews. The family will welcome friends Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 3-4 p.m., at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Services at 4:00 p.m. with military honors following. The private graveside services will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rogers American Legion Post 100. Online condolences to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
