Catherine Ann Snyder Martindale

Catherine Ann Snyder Martindale, passed away on July 30, 2021. She was born December 4, 1934, in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arkansas Pete Snyder, Ola Catherine Percefull Snyder and her husband, Ora Cornelius Martindale Jr. She is survived by her three sisters, Jayne Snyder Mann, Frances Snyder Tierney, Nancy Snyder Hunt and her brother-in-law, John Hunt. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Martindale Quaranta and her husband Mark Quaranta. Her grandsons, Daniel Wardlaw and his wife Dominique Wardlaw, Blake Tierney, and Aaron Tierney. Her step-grandson, Tyler Quaranta and his wife Viviana Quaranta. Two step great-granddaughters, Tessa Quaranta and Freya Quaranta. She was raised on a farm in North Little Rock. She went to college at Henderson Teacher's College, now Henderson State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in primary education. She began her career teaching in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She moved with her family back to North Little Rock in 1964. She then began teaching first grade at Lynch Drive Elementary School in North Little Rock. She taught there until her retirement in 1992. She continued her teaching by guiding her grandsons through their early education years. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Rest Hills Funeral Home in Sherwood.
