Charles Argus Stuckey, 72, born and raised in Bauxite, passed away Monday morning, Aug. 2, after lengthy illnesses of the past several years. Charley, or Chuck, was predeceased by his father, George, mother, Jimmye (Williams) Price, his son, Donovan Joseph; brothers, William, Walter, Marion, Kenneth, George Jr., as well as sisters, Georgia and Jill. Charley is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia (Bowers) Stuckey, his brother, Eddie, sister, Gayle, granddaughter, Johna Jayce French, and nephews, nieces, greats and grand nephews and nieces that were the pride of his life. Chuck is survived by a multitude of friends that he loved like family. His best friend, Fred Sears of Lonsdale, his pastor/friend, Gary Welch, Dierks Ark., his friend and mentor, Robert Taylor, Clarkston, Wash., and family, his very special Bauxite senior class of 1966, his deer camp family at Warren, his horse show family, Sharon, Bill, George and Dale, his shooting friends of Rimfire Ridge and rimfire ranges from Louisiana, to Virginia, and the Carolinas, to Georgia, and beyond, he never really met a stranger. Even with all of his accomplishments and endeavors he was most proud of his military service in the U.S. Air Force at home and abroad, Vietnam. He was a disabled veteran since 1969. Chuck was a patriot and proud to serve. "Uncle Charley" loved his family and extended family unconditionally, always looking forward to spending time with them. All of his family was special to him, and made him extremely proud. Chuck will be missed greatly by all who knew him, but no one more than his wife, who adored him and was always at his side. Though they made their home in Bismarck, his real home was always Bauxite, he said it was "the greatest place to grow up" so he has come home. His very special pallbearers are Howard Stuckey, Cody Stuckey, Bryce Stuckey, Jim Stuckey, Michael Moore, Steven Moore, Dewaine Loy, and Heath Loy. Honorary pallbearers are Fred Sears and Rimfire Ridge shooters; Corinth Hunt Club of Warren, and his classmates of the Bauxite Class of 1966.
