Jean L Gill passed from this life on November 27, 2021. Jean was born October 5, 1924, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to J.A. and Annie Bailey. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Clark Love Williams; and husband later in life; Ed Gill. She is survived by two sons, Larry Love (Donna), Jerry Love; and two daughters, Margaret Pounds (Garland) and Lisa Pray (Kenny); grandchildren, Robin Sexton and Scott Love (Kendall); great-grandchildren, Bailey Gosser, Sarah Love Miller and Kenny Love; and one great-great-grandchild, Patrick Scott Love. Jean was raised in Quitman, Ark., after her family moved from Shawnee, Okla., and attended business college in Little Rock, Ark., and worked as a receptionist at various businesses and eventually managed an orthotist's office, R.T. Hickerson, in Fort Smith, Ark. Her main love was raising four children to which she provided a safe and caring environment, teaching them respect and values. She had much excitement at times when her two sons enjoyed doing different scientific experiments like sending rockets into the air, making weather balloons to see on the television weather radar screen and having their little sister take part with them sometimes going awry. Then another daughter came later in life to whom she provided unconditional love and encouraged her in finding and using her gifts and talents to enjoy life. There will be a visitation at 10 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m., at the Quitman United Methodist Church on Thursday, December 2, 2021, with burial at Quitman Cemetery.
