Ruth Frances Henderson

Ruth Frances Henderson, age 94, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born October 9, 1927, in Warren, Ark., the daughter of Edward Mason and Mary Steadman Johnson of McGehee, Ark. Frances graduated valedictorian of McGehee High school and attended the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and where she met and married the love of her life, Marvin Edgar Henderson Jr., of Brinkley. They moved to Forrest City, Ark., where they taught high school for many years. After retirement, they moved to Fayetteville, Ark. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Markey Rial Morrison of McGehee; and a granddaughter, Mary Ashley Bunch, of Little Rock. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Frances Bunch of Gig Harbor, Wash.; her son, Eddie Henderson and wife Fredna of Elkins, Ark.; four grandchildren: Austin Bunch Ayers, David Hogue, Kathy Faulkner, and Suzanne Hernandez; and five great-grandchildren. Thank you to the "angels" of Morningside of Fayetteville and North Hills Rehab center, who lovingly cared for her in her final years. Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2021, at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
