Charles A Vines, Jr.

Charles A. Vines, Jr., 84, died December 14 2021. He was predeceased by his parents C.A. and Joye Vines and brother, Don. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Vines, daughters, Leslye Vines, Dayton, Ohio, and Audrey Buckman, Myrtle Beach, S.C., granddaughter, Page Buckman and sister, Ann Vines Roberts, Nashville, Tenn. He is also survived by daughters, Kimberly Dunn (Dean) and Sherry Stansberry. Grandchildren, Kristi Wilson, Cole Dunn, Alexis and Sam Stansberry and great-grandson, Jackson Cooper. Charlie attended Little Rock public schools and graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was an ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate and received a Regular Army commission. After serving nearly four years on active duty, with three years in Germany, he returned to Little Rock and began a career in property casualty insurance. He retired from Marsh and McLennan after many years as an insurance executive. Charlie loved golf and had many, many years of fun and comradery with his friends at The Country Club of Little Rock. For years he was an avid duck hunter with many unbelievable memories with lifelong friends at the Flag Lake Hunting Club. Thanks Guys. Private family memorial service at Pulaski Heights Methodist Church Colum, burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to C. A.
