Betty Claudette Patterson

Pine Bluff, AR, 1943 - 2021

Betty Claudette Griffing Patterson, 78, of Pine Bluff, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, December 23 2021.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beth Griffing; her father, Claude Griffing; and a sister, Deanna Koonce Owen.
Claudette retired from the Pine Bluff Public School System in 1999. She served 28 years as a secretary of the First Ward Elementary School and went to Star City's Brown Elementary School and served four years there. She returned to the Pine Bluff Public Schools at the 34th Avenue Elementary School.
Claudette loved her home in lower Jefferson County. She also loved knitting, crocheting, fishing, gardening, travel, adult coloring books and talking to friends on Facebook and on her computer. Claudette was a longtime member of Broadmoor Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her service in her church, including teaching Bible School, regular classes, assistant secretary, President of the Ladies' Auxiliary and representing her church in the District Ladies Auxiliary meetings.
Those left behind are her husband of 60 years, James Arthur "Pat" Patterson; sister, Mary Lou Glover (Bill); daughters, Marie Vetsch (Craig), Liska Yeager (Tony), both of Pine Bluff and Betty Jo Dickey (John) of Sheridan; grandchildren, Angela Hutcheson (Alan) of Benton, Tamara Brown (Brad) of Pine Bluff, Hannah Dickey, Jonathan Dickey, both of Sheridan, Dakota Yeager and Toni Yeager, both of Pine Bluff; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Hutcheson, Kaylee Hutcheson, both of Benton, Trystan Brown and Kyra Brown, both of Pine Bluff.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2022 in the chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Bro. Sam Griffin and Bro. Charles Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 until funeral time Monday.
