Daniel Alexander Buck

Daniel Alexander Buck, 65, of North Little Rock, went to be with his Lord and Savior and was reunited with his wife on January 31, 2021. He was born June 5, 1955, in Kansas City, Mo., to the late George and Olive Buck. Dan was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church and The Navigators Men's Ministry Group. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, painting, the outdoors, and traveling. His travels took him to far off places such as Spain and Puerto Rico. Mr. Buck was a graduate of The University of Georgia, holding a Masters degree in accounting. He had a deep love for people and enjoyed being a mentor to young people. He also loved to tell people about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Dan's family will always remember him as an honest, hardworking, loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia Buck (née-Dumeny) in October 2007; his parents, George and Olive Buck; and father-in-law, Gerald Dumeny. Left to mourn his passing are his children, David Buck of Texas, Amanda (Huascar) Buck-Ortega of Va., John Buck of Va.; grandchildren, Wascar, Robinson, Anthony and Ian Ortega. Other survivors include sister, Diane Buck of North Little Rock; mother-in-law, Gracie Dumeny of Sherwood; sister-in-law, Sharon (Mike) Auffet of Texas; brother-in-laws, Randy (Pam) Dumeny of El Paso, and Joey (Debbie) Dumeny of Cabot, Ark. Mr. Buck's family wishes to send a special thank you to all of his friends and neighbors, who helped Dan throughout the years and continued to lift his spirits. Furthermore, we wish to acknowledge and thank all of the doctors, nurses, aides, and staff at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock for all of the genuine love, care, and concern shown to Dan and their family. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, with Reverend Brad DeVries, of Trinity Fellowship Church officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
