Linda Carol Burkhead

LINDA CAROL DAVIS BURKHEAD passed on peacefully on December 29, 2020. Born February 28, 1947 the daughter of Guy and Jessie Davis in Benton, Ark. Her parents, first husband, Charlie Dove, son, Stevie Dove and daughter Cherona Dove, brothers and sisters, Grace, Bobby, Sue, Billy and Dori preceded her in death. Linda served and was a faithful member of Sylvan Hills Community Church, served as president of the Mary Martha Too Ladies Group. Her favorite was serving at the Crisis Corner to those in need. Linda was a strong and Faithful Christian woman. Linda retired from Maybelline after 30 years in various positions, her favorite was as a forklift driver. A loving wife and mother, she enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with her family. Survived by the love of her life, John Paul Burkhead and daughters, Lisa Dove (Kevin) Wood of Benton, Ark., Jennifer (George) Bajorek of Jacksonville, Ark., Dustin (Sarah) Burkhead of Sherwood, Ark. and Adam (Shawnna) Burkhead of Quitman, Ark., brothers, James Davis of Mayflower, Ark. and Dale Davis of North Little Rock, Ark. and sister, Peggy Nelson of Little Rock, Ark., grandchildren, Zack (Brittany) Wood, Devin Wood, Benton (Haley) Bajorek, Cameron Bajorek, Amber Bajorek, Billy Blane Davis, Malia Davis, Lily Burkhead, Madison Burkhead, Brayden Burkhead and Brody Burkhead, great grandchildren, Lukas and Levi Wood. Graveside memorial service held January 7, 2020 at 10 a.m., Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Ave., North Little Rock, Ark. Brother Tim McMinn will officiate. Family ask that memorials in memory of Linda be made to Sylvan Hills Community Church Crisis Corner, 8019 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Ark. 72120. Due to health concerns during Covid-19, the family plan to have a public memorial service at Sylvan Hills Community Church time and date to be announced in the future.
