Kevin George Toblesky, went to be with his lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on January 9, 2021. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 18, 1973, and moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, when he was 9. After he graduated Mountain Home High School in 1991, his dream was to follow in his father's footsteps and study civil engineering. In 1997 he graduated from the University of Arkansas, and started his career with the Arkansas Highway Department and continued his professional engineering career at Jacobs Engineering. In 2006, Kevin and Kristi Haynes Toblesky, settled in Benton, Ark., to raise their sons. With his roots from Chicago, Kevin was a life-long and loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs. As with all Cubs fans, after enduring many challenging seasons, he was finally able to celebrate the Cubs winning the World Series in the fall of 2016. The most special part of this miraculous season was being able to enjoy such a feat with his sons at his side thru the road to the World Series. Additionally, as a fan fanatic and alumnus of the University of Arkansas, he witnessed the Razorback basketball team win the 1994 NCAA Championship, while he cheered (loudly) from his 3rd row seat in the student section for all home games as well as the Road to the Final Four. Over the years, he spent most Saturdays rooting on the Razorback football team from Fayetteville, Little Rock and neighboring SEC college towns. While witnessing a championship season for both your college and professional teams seems like hitting the lottery, those moments didn't even come close to the joy in his heart while he watched his sons, Zack and Zane, take the field or storm the court. Kevin spent countless hours coaching, attending, and supporting every sporting event his boys participated in. He is well known among both the kids as well as the parents for his cheering and his famous dancing on the field. Kevin is survived and will be fondly remembered by his best friend, mother of his precious sons, and former wife, Kristi Haynes Toblesky, his sons Zack Richard Toblesky and Zane Lee Toblesky, his mother, Sarah (Sally) Toblesky, sister Katherine Calaway (Curt), brother Rick Toblesky (Cindy), nieces Kayleigh and Kellah Calaway, and nephew Chris Toblesky. Kevin is preceded in death by his hero, mentor and father, Richard Frank Toblesky, grandparents Walter and Harriet Toblesky and George and Frances Fleming, and his godfather and uncle James Fleming Sr. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, January 12, from 5-8 p.m., at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton. Masks are required and the chapel will be used to accommodate social distancing. A graveside service will be Wednesday, January 13, at 10 a.m., at Smith Rosemont Cemetery in Benton with Pastor Ben Crismon from First United Methodist Church presiding. Masks are required. Due to COVID-19, the graveside service can be viewed live on The Spartan Baseball/Softball Developmental Academy's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SpartanDevelop1). Education was very important to Kevin, and he dreamed of Zack and Zane searching for their college destination and mentoring them to find their professional passions. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Toblesky Boys' college donation fund (gofundme.com/f/the-toblesky-boys-college-donation-fund). Online guest book at ashbyfuneralhome.com
