James Austin Jr., 81, of North Little Rock, passed January 10, 2021. Loving memories left to wife: Ella Austin of North Little Rock, children: Edward (Patricia) Austin, Travis Austin, Phyllis Austin, Tarsua Barbee all of North Little Rock, LaBaron (Cherris) Austin of New Carrolton, Md., Eric (Jennifer) Rainey of Tampa, Fla., Sharon Bankhead of Alexander, Ark., Cheryl Jackson of Jacksonville, Ark., Jacqueline (Aubrey) Lee, Cynthia Gilliam both of Flint, Mich., and grandson he raised: Dwayne (Priscilla) Shephard of Atlanta, Ga., siblings: Louis (Ruthie) Austin of North Little Rock, Harvey (Clarice) Austin and Carolyn (William) Smith both of Wrightsville, Ark., and Betty Rideout of Little Rock, Ark., brother in laws: Jerry Flint, Donald Lewis, Riley Flint of Little Rock, Curtis Flint, Lee Flint of North Little Rock, Ark., sister in law Maxine Baroughton of Little Rock, 25 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, aunt, Eva Freeman of Topeka, Kan., cousin/sister, Gwendolyn Clark of Little Rock, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to Baptist Springhill ICU staff, hospice nurses and doctors. Mr. Austin will lie in state January 15, 2021, 1-6 p.m., at Superior.
