Chester Lee Hopkins

Chester Lee Hopkins, of Bentonville, died January 13, 2021 in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born on April 7, 1933, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Anna and Louis Hopkins. Chet was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. Chet lived in Michigan for 55 years before he moved to Florida in search of warmer weather and his love of Golf. Chet was an avid golfer and spent his time golfing on courses around the country. Chet and Joan traveled the United States site-seeing and golfing. On game day he was a die-hard Michigan Wolverine fan! When he wasn't golfing he spent time in his shed woodworking. He was meticulous and created timeless treasures for his family. Chet and Joan settled in Northwest Arkansas where this became his final resting place. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons; Robert Hopkins and Brian Oliver. Chet is survived by his wife of 48 Years, Joan (Crawford) Hopkins; four children: Sandy Petano (David), Angela McCormick (Ron), Pamela Oliver-Yocom (Dave) and Chris Hopkins (Paula); nine grandchildren: Haley McCormick, Ben Yocom, Bethany Petano, Tony O'Callahan, Mallory Lowe, Justin Petano, Jeffrey Hopkins, Mariah Hopkins, and Daniel Hopkins along with many loving great-grandchildren. A Commemorative Service and Inurnment will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Chester Hopkins name. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville.
