Maria Pilar Johnson

Maria Pilar Johnson, 97, of Sherwood passed away on Sat Jan 9, 2020. She was born Maria del Pilar Rojo Y Velasco on April 6, 1929 in Castro-Urdiales Spain. Maria met the love of her life Kenneth while he was stationed in Spain and they were married in Madrid on March 31, 1957. A few years later they moved to the US and she became a United States Citizen. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Kenneth Hill Johnson in May of 2020. She is survived by their Daughter Maria Christina Lanier; grandchildren Amber Tiffany Lanier-Blase (Harrison), Ashley Colleen Lanier and Mason Conner Sisson; great-grandchildren Haley Nicole Davis, Cristian Alexander Trujillo, Branson Hill Blase, Jaxson John Blase, Pepper Pilar Barrios and Holland Rose Blase. Committal service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. State of AR COVID-19 directives: Face coverings required.
