With profound sadness we announce the passing from this earth of our beloved mother and wife, Deloris "Dee" (Jones) King on January 12, 2021. Born in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, the adventure that was her life gave her the opportunity to live in numerous states and to travel to foreign countries, with Italy being her favorite. While living in Las Vegas, Nev., she met and married our dad, Jim, and they spent a lifetime together giving us a sense of adventure, a strong work ethic, and a love of life. Our mom treasured her relationships with people. Through her career in real estate, she built communities, homes, and supported families. So many of her clients became friends as she introduced them to her community and extensive network. Her friends became family to whom she always shared her love, generosity, and kindness. She inspired and challenged us to live by her example and supported us all through our life events and our everyday challenges and joys. Her career in real estate was her outlet for her meticulous attention to detail and her drive to perfection. She worked long hours to ensure her clients received top notch service and found the home and community of their dreams. She was known in all three states where she was licensed as a realtor, as an expert and the go to person to solve, even the craziest issues, arising along the road to a closing. Her sacrifices to her work and her clients fulfilled her and gave her a sense of accomplishment. Those she worked with and mentored became her tribe. After moving to Arkansas, she quickly integrated into the community by becoming a vital member of the Garden Club, Hobbits, the Ventris Road Neighbor Association, Late Bloomers Garden Club and Red Hats Club. She made wonderful, life-long friends through all of these organizations, where she made an impact on the groups and their members. Her passion and dedication were most exhibited through her volunteer work at God's Pantry. Through the pandemic, she would not give up her work there and, with appropriate safeguards, continued to fulfill its mission. Our mother was preceded in death by her son, Bill King, and grandson, Bill King Jr. She is survived by her husband, Jim; three daughters, Machelle Moore of Texas, Carol Wells (Jim) of California, and Lisa Coleman (Martin) of Pennsylvania; one daughter-in-law, Darlene King of Arkansas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. We will be celebrated her life every day by honoring her spirit, sense of humor, and heart. We look forward to holding a celebration of life gathering when we are able to come together without restriction. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to God's Pantry, 17938 Dennis Mitchell Rd, Garfield, AR 72732 (479) 359-2079. Online condolences can be made at www.rollinsfuneral.com.
