Elizabeth L. "Betty" Kroskey , formerly of Jacksonville, Arkansas, a resident of Woodland Heights, Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away after a long illness on January 16, 2021. Betty was born in South Heights, Pennsylvania, on July 17, 1931, and was the oldest of three girls. Betty served as a military wife for 28 years, living in Germany, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Arizona, and Nebraska, finally retiring in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Betty greatly missed her many friends when she moved to Little Rock, after her husband's death. However, she enjoyed living in Woodland Heights in Little Rock, Ark., where she made many new friends. Betty was an active member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Ark., and served on numerous church committees. She also found time to deliver food to those in need through Meals on Wheels. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Helen Erwin and her husband of 66 years, James A. Kroskey, Sr. She is survived by her children, James (Donna) Kroskey of Maumelle, Arkansas, Tim (Cyd) Kroskey of Poquoson, Virginia, Leslie Schram of Tucson, Arizona, Michael (Paula) Kroskey of Marshfield, Wisconsin, Camille Kroskey of Phoenix, Arizona, Jon Kroskey of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her sisters, Jane Testa of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and Virgina DeAngelo of Largo, Florida; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas, on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church. The family will hold a Celebration of Life later in the year, after the pandemic. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Boy's Town in Nebraska. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the nursing staff of Arkansas Hospice and Assisted Living at Woodland Heights.
