Dwight Jess Shanley

Dwight Jess Shanley, 76, of Little Rock, passed away January 11, 2021. He was born May 8, 1944, in Rome, New York, to Dwight Ralph and Alma Rosland Shanley. Dwight was born and raised in Hillside, New York. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life in 1966, Martha Nestle Shanley. His proudest moments were his wedding to his bride and the birth of his children. He worked for 30 years for AT&T as an installer. And later was ordained in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Martha Shanley; son, Sean Patrick Shanley (Kimberly); mother, Alma R. Mulvaney; grandchildren: Brittany Shanley, Samantha Feathers, Ryan Feathers, and Gwendolyn Shanley; and great-grandchildren: Jaymee Carey, Willow Feathers, and Wyatt Rasdon. He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Ralph Shanley; step-father, Vincent Mulvaney; daughter, Joy Melinda Shanley; and brother, Duane Shanley. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Pinecrest Funeral Home.
