Joseph "Joe" B. Mazzanti, age 92, of Lake Village died Monday, January 18, 2021, at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village, Ark. Joe B. Mazzanti was born June 3, 1928, in Lake Village, Ark. He is the son of the late Enrico "Henry" Mazzanti and Maria (Mazzanti), Mazzanti. Joe B. was a local business owner that has owned several service station and sold insurance for Life of Georgia, MFA (Shelter) insurance companies in Chicot County for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and a Grand Knight for Knights of Columbus in Lake Village. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beatrice Mazzanti, brothers, Robert (Cecilia) Mazzanti, Victor (Ida) Mazzanti, Ned (Neva) Mazzanti, Al (Theresa) Mazzanti, Paul Mazzanti, Henry Jr. (Barbara) Mazzanti and infant brother, Armando Mazzanti; two sisters, Rose McEwen and Gloria (A.B) Morara. He is survived by one son, Mike Mazzanti of Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers, Fiore (Judy) Mazzanti of Lake Village, Eugene (Harriet) Mazzanti of Little Rock, Frank Mazzanti of Crossett, one sister, Catherine Talbot of Lake Village, sister-in-law, Kathy Mazzanti, and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Special thanks to his caregivers, Carol "Connie" Hicks and Shirley Catalani. Pallbearers: Frank "Sach" Wells, Carl Emerton, Raymond Morara, Scotty Rebsamen, Chris Pieroni, and Jerry Foster. Honorary pallbearers: Pete Mazzanti, Robert "Bubba" Winsett, Bill Wilson, Ned Catalani, Bobby Mazzanti, Don McFarlane, Marvin Glover, Henry Dave Hackett, Santo Olivi, Freddy Rossini, and Robert Olivi. Visitation will be Thursday, January 21, from 5-6 p.m. with rosary at 6 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 22, at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church, 314 South Lakeshore, Lake Village, Ark., with Father Stephen Hart as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Isidore Cemetery in Lake Village. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Isidore Cemetery, Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, P.O. Box 272 Lake Village, Ark. 71653 or charity of your choice.
