Mary Lee Allen

Mary Lee Hollinshed Allen, was born January 7, 1929, in Reedville community near Dumas, Ark., to the late James Hollinshed and Carrie Lee Grenada. She was educated in the Dumas School district. She was joined in matrimony to Roosevelt Allen Sr. where they were married for 71 years and had 21 children. He preceded her in death. She departed this life on January 5, 2021 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. Her survivors are seven sons and nine daughters: Roosevelt Allen Jr. (Bobbie), David Allen (Carolyn), John W. Allen (Mariam), Edward Allen (Renna), Johnnie B. Allen, Rickey Allen, Gloria Randolph (Eddie), Betty Hall (Cardell Jr.), Mary M. Allen, Ruthie Prunty (Reginald), Lorene Claibourne, Carrie Clemons (Mark), Ruby Jones (Billy), Shirley Phillips (Curtis) and Dorothy Livingston (Joseph). Also among her survivors are 52 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchildren, 78 great-great-grandchildren; 2 aunts, Willie Mae Washington of Dumas, Ark., Teretha Grenada-Adams of Chicago, Illinois.
