Ruby Faye Jones

Ruby Faye Jones, 87 of Conway, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 07, 2021 after a short battle with Covid-19. Ruby was born in Wilson, Yell County, Ark., on October 21, 1933 to the late Lawton and Nora Smith. On July 19, 1952, at the age of 18 she married 36 year old Doya Jones, of Tillar, Ark., where they created a beautiful family. Mammaw spent her days in the cotton fields and working at Stratton Grocery while raising their children. She retired from Beverly Enterprises in McGehee after 20 years of working as a dietician then moved to Clarendon to be closer to their children. After Doya went to be with the Lord in 2005, Ruby spent time traveling and spending time with her children grandchildren, whom she loved very dearly. Ruby was loved by so many. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Neosha (Mike) Owens of Conway, Ark., Donald Wayne "DJ" (Lisa)Jones of Clarendon, Ark., six grandchildren; Brandy (Trad) Barber of Sedalia, Ky., Dustin (Miranda) Jones of Mayfield, Ky., Renee (Tuffy) Baxter of Back Gate, Ark., Lance (Andrea) Hudson of Clarendon, Ark., Jeremy (Andy) Owens of Chicago, Ill., and Adriane (Ron) Spruell of Kansas City, Kan.: three sisters Jean Israel of Dumas, Ark., Mary Hudgens of Little Rock, Ark., Sue (Dave) Miller of Conway, Ark.; eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Doya Jones, her parents Lawton and Nora Smith, a son Sammy Doyce Jones, two daughters, Laura Ann Jones and Kay Barnett, one grandson Kevin Hudson, two brothers Junior Smith and Donald Smith, two sisters Dude Conrad and Eva Richmond. Arrangements made by Griffin Funeral Home, Dumas, Ark. Private memorial service will be held at a later date.
