Thomas Lawrence Parks

THOMAS LAWRENCE PARKS, age 65, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his home. He was born July 10, 1955 in Bethesda, Ark., to the late Russell Theodore and Anna Kytheryne (Miller) Parks. Thomas proudly served his country as a Command Sergeant Major in the United States Army National Guard for 32 years. He was awarded numerous medals and decorations recognizing his outstanding military service. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Lewis; and brothers, Anthony Parks and Joseph Parks. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gail Parks; children, Stephanie Key, Melissa Schock, Amanda Buchuncan, Donald E. Parks, Anthony F. Parks, Dustin Sanders, Cindy Nolley, and Wendy Stinson; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Betsy (Harold) Scott, Jackie (Gary) Hinderks, and Theodore Parks. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2021 at the funeral home.
