Geneva L. McClelland, 97 of Fayetteville went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2021. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, R.D. McClelland; a brother, Cecil Cheevers; a sister-in-law, Donna Cheevers; and a grandson, Brad Delozier. She is survived by one sister, Dorotha Beach of Greenland; and a brother, Russell Cheevers, of Greenland; her three daughters, Carolyn Gammons of Springfield, Mo., Beverly Beard of Fayetteville, and Sandi Farley and husband, Don Farley, of Lakeview, Ark. She was blessed with six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. R.D. and Geneva spent over 50 years in service for the Lord, they were charter members of Greenland Baptist Church, and later Geneva became a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. Geneva was active in teaching Sunday School, was a member of Women's Missionary Union and served in Bible School teaching preschoolers the Word of God. She was an avid reader and told her pastor just last week she was finishing reading the Bible for the 3rd time. She loved camping, fishing, crocheting, and being with friends and family. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Moore's Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ark. The viewing will be one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Internment will be at Baptist Ford for family only, please.
