Jean Waters Parrott

Jean Waters Parrott, 91, of New Edinburg, born July 22, 1929, in Watson Chapel, joined her Lord and Savior July 3, 2021. She was met by her loving husband of 51 years, Victor Parrott who she married April 22, 1956, her parents, Richard R. Waters Sr. and Vera Monk Waters, her siblings, Sylvia Waters, Edna Studdard, Myrl Cato, Richard R. Waters Jr., and Monroe Waters. Also to greet her was her son, George Parrott and son-in-law, Sam Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Miller of Fordyce, her son, Ron Parrott (Jan) of Bullhead City, Arizona, granddaughter, Donna Martindale (Jack) of New Edinburg, grandson, Joe Parrott (Addie) of Houston, Texas, and the light of her life great-granddaughter, Dixie Martindale of New Edinburg. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Jessie Carter of Memphis, Tennessee, Barbara Price of Fort Worth, Texas, and Lou Nicewonger of Winlock, Washington, and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shady Grove Cemetery in New Edinburg. A visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m., at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Shady Grove Cemetery with Steve Monk and Justin Childress officiating. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
