Charlene Edna Miller Williams, 85, of Morrilton, entered into eternal rest on July 14, 2021. She was born October 10, 1935, in Parks, Arkansas, to the late John Elmer and Violet Lee McCollough Miller. Charlene grew up in Plumerville and was a graduate of Plumerville High School. She was married to the late Sammy Lee Williams of Morrilton. They were able to celebrate 66 years of marriage together. She is survived by her three children; Tommy Williams of Montgomery, Texas; Debra Williams of North Little Rock, Ark.; and Lisa (David) Williams Goldstein of Morrilton. Two granddaughters, Amanda (James) Connelly of Louisville, Ky., and Emily (Timothy) Monroe of Austin, Ark. One brother, Don (Margie) Miller of Ooltewah, Tenn., and her six great-grandchildren: Sadie, Samuel, William, Ella, Josie, and Charlotte, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. Charlene was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She enjoyed her church activities and the lifetime of friendships she made through the years. Charlene and Sam were the owners of Church Street Grocery in Morrilton for 28 years. Many returning customers to their store also created and kept treasured bonds of friendships. The couple retired north of Morrilton to enjoy their retirement years. One of Charlene's favorite things to do was travel with friends or family. She was able to travel to places like Alaska, Montana, Washington DC, England, Niagara Falls, and the Amish Pennsylvania countryside. Charlene loved her gospel music. She had a dear friend, Carolyn, who would take her to Friday night singings in the local churches. She will truly be missed by her family and friends, yet we know we will see her again when we all get to Heaven. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 17, at Harris Chapel with Pastor Jack Bean and Pastor Sonny Harvison officiating. Burial will be at Plummerville Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Online guestbook: www.harrisfuneralhomes.net
