Cleveland "Cleve" Marion Jones

Cleveland "Cleve" Marion Jones, passed away, July 12, 2021, in Little Rock, Ark. He was born August 13, 1940, in Batesville, Arkansas. He attended University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and graduated with a bachelor's degree in industrial management and executive MBA from the University of Michigan. He worked for Southwestern Bell for over 30 years then went to work for Amdocs, Inc. for over four years and from 1994 to 2005 Engel Consulting Group where he was responsible for business development and sales. He served on many boards including as president of the downtown Little Rock Kiwanis Club and former chair of the board and current member of World Services for the Blind. Cleve also served as the president of the New Challenges Sunday School class at St. James United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Hadley Jones and Doris Mae Wray Jones; his brother, Wray Henry Jones and his sister, Janice Gaye Hill. He is survived by his best friend, Susie to whom he was married for over 56 years; his children, Melissa (Bryan) Phillips and Greg (Kristen) Jones and his three grandchildren, Faith Phillips and Ethan and Ryan Jones. Cleve was a very proud of his children and his grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday morning, July 19, 2021, at 11 a.m., St. James United Methodist Church, 321 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas, with Rev. Greg Schick officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Road, Sherwood, Arkansas.
