Roma Nell Waddell

Roma Nell Waddell passed away July 14, 2021, after a lengthy stay at Baptist Hospital. Nell was born August 9, 1932 in Tichnor, Ark., to Leslie and Beatrice Smith. Her husband of 65 years preceded her in death by 12 hours. She was also preceded by her parents and sisters; Wilda Mae Golenor and Molly Francis Jordan, One brother; Joe Dudley Smith, and one nephew; Douglas Golenor. Nell moved to Little Rock right after she finished High School to be with her sisters. The three of them were baptized at Emanuel Baptist Church. Nell went to work for Southwestern Bell where she stayed at for 45 years. She was a devoted wife to Ben, accompanying him on outings to Oaklawn and Tunica. She loved her magazine subscriptions to find new recipes and decorating tips. She is survived by her nieces; Lynn Cortez (Corey), Barbara Wilson (David), Nephews; Steve Barthol (Debbie), Joe Davis, and numerous grandnieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Pinecrest Cemetery, Alexander, Ark.
