Ashley Elizabeth Modlin, age 33, and her son, JP Carl Modlin, age 6, of Batesville, passed from this life on Friday, July 16, 2021. She was born June 1, 1988, in St. Louis, Missouri to Donald Ray Hawkins and LaDonna Kaye Ford Hawkins. He was born April 22, 2015, at Newport to Ashley and Jay P. Modlin. She is survived by her husband, Jay P. Modlin; one daughter, Kora Emalyne Modlin of Batesville; parents, LaDonna Adcock of Alton, Mo., Donald Hawkins of Bald Knob; mother-in-law, Lavonda Suetta Smith of Searcy; one brother, Lee Dewayne Adcock of Alton; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Nathan Abbott of Texas; paternal grandmother, Patsy Hawkins of Batesville; uncle, Steve Ford of Alton; baby-sitter, Jessica Bailey of Batesville; friend, Ronnie Terrance of Batesville; and many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Follis Ford; paternal grandfather, Ray Hawkins; stepfather, Joe Adcock; father-in-law, Eric Modlin; and son, J.P. Carl Modlin.
