Matthew Todd Isabell, age 56, returned to his heavenly home Monday, July 19, 2021. He now rests peacefully in the arms of our Savior and Redeemer. Matt passed away due to complications of COVID-19. He passed away surrounded by his family at the hospital. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 36 wonderful years, Susan Sweat Isabell, as well as his six children and their spouses: Jenny and Santiago Castillo, Janell and Zach Bailey, Josh and Jaden Isabell, Joseph and Margo Isabell, James and Katie Isabell, Sarah Isabell and her fiancé Mason, along with fifteen grandchildren; parents, Tim and Rita Isabell; brothers, Shane Isabell and his wife Kimmy, Kirk Isabell and his wife Teri, parents-in-law, Duane and Janet Sweat. Matt was born August 27, 1964, in Greybull, Wyoming. In his early years, you could find him delivering papers, water skiing at the lake with his family, or on the football field. At age 19, he left home to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Uruguay in South America. Matt earned a Business management degree from the University of Wyoming, followed by an MBA at Brigham Young University. In 1985, he and Susan were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City, Utah, Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Matt loved life and lived with enthusiasm. He had an incredible gift for loving others. Countless lives have been touched because of his kindness. He was a visionary businessman and entrepreneur. He worked for Wal-Mart for 24 years and then started his own business as a Walmart supplier, which then multiplied into other successful business ventures. Even though Matt had great business accomplishments, what he treasured most were the relationships he established and the joy he felt in helping others succeed. Matt had a gift for motivating others to be their best. Matt was a man of integrity and honesty. His decisions were based on his values, which were grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ. Matt's convictions to help others led him to answer the call to serve in many leadership positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was in service that Matt found great joy. His loving council and excellent example as a disciple of Christ provided a means for him to influence many for good. All who knew Matt were touched by his generosity, kindness, words of counsel, and encouragement. Matt leaves an indelible mark upon this world through his unwavering faith and testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ, the Plan of Salvation, the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and of Heavenly Father's unconditional love for each of His children. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1101 McCollum Dr, Bentonville, Arkansas. A Celebration of Life drop in visitation will be held Friday, July 30, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services, Saturday, July 31, 2021. 10 a.m., visitation, 11:30 a.m., Funeral services.
