Carol E. Settle

Carol E. Settle, 83, of Sherwood, passed from this life on July 25, 2021. She was born May 16, 1938, in Little Rock, Ark., to the late Edwin W. and Margaret A. (Townsend) Helmbeck. Carol was a 1956 graduate of Central High School and a member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church. She was always happiest spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Settle and her husband Jim were the owners of Settle Office Supplies in North Little Rock since 1982. She will always be remembered as a hardworking, honest, loyal, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy R. Settle Jr., and sister, Sharon Roth. Survivors include her devoted husband of sixty-five years, Jim R. Settle Sr., daughter, Lisa Brewer, and husband Jeff of Sherwood; grandchildren, Jared H. Selby and wife Sami of Wynne, Josh Selby of Jacksonville, and Zach Settle and wife Shana of Sherwood; great-grandchildren, Anber, Emarie, Rivers, Harper, and Shelbi. Other survivors include siblings, Judi Helmbeck-Woods of Little Rock and Ed Helmbeck Jr. and wife Marilyn of Texas, along with a host of extended family and loved ones. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home with Brother Max Pyron officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
