Guadalupe E. Montalvo, age 91, of Haskell, passed away on May 27, 2021. He was born in Bauxite, Ark., on February 4, 1930. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Montalvo and Herlinda Hernandez Montalvo. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran for 24 years serving in Korea and Vietnam. He grew up in the St. Joseph Orphanage and then attended Catholic High School and on to Notre Dame where he got his degree.
He leaves behind his wife Olga of 35 years, daughter, Diane (Carl) Cotrell, three grandchildren, Lance and wife Sammy, Maria, and Peter. Three sisters, Tedea, Andela, and Angie, and a brother, Manuel. He also was loved by his step family that consisted of three step-daughters, eight step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Rosary services will be at 6 p.m., Wednesday, at Ashby's with visitation to follow. Mass will be 9 a.m., Thursday, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Arkansas Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock. Online guest book at: www.ashbyfunealhome.com.
