Joneva Jone Holcombe

Joneva "Jone" Holcombe, age 62, of Benton, Arkansas, gained her heavenly wings on May 29, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born September 13, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a nurse and had a passion for taking care of others. She worked at Heartland Rehabilitation and Care Center and was a member of Oak grove Missionary Baptist Church. Most of all she enjoyed being at the lake camping or at the deer woods hunting with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John Howard and Eva Lee Howard Elder, Mary Barnett, and son, Jimmy Howard Holcombe. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jimmy Glen Holcombe, of Benton, Arkansas; daughter, Jamie Lee Holcombe-Morton (Russell), of Benton, Arkansas; sisters, Marie Brown (Stanley), of Lexington, Alabama, Debra Birdwell (David), of Rogersville, Alabama, and Kim Fabry (John), of Athens, Alabama; brother, Michael McCrary (Tricia), of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved dearly. Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home, will be held at Smith–New Rosemont Cemetery, on Friday June 4, 2021, at 10 a.m., officiated by Pastor Vance Nutt. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Ashby Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Family would like to express a special thank you to all of the staff at Baptist Hospice for keeping her comfortable until the end.
