Shirley Jeanne Trewitt

Shirley Jeanne Trewitt, 83, of Ward, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021. She was born November, 28, 1937, in Dyess, Ark., to Dewey and Ella Mae (Dodd) Pennington. Shirley was a faithful and loving wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, and a thoroughly honorable person. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph ‘Chuck' Pennington. Shirley is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jimmie Trewitt; her children, Sherrie Palmer (John Palmer) of Ward, James Trewitt (Judith Bergquist) of Denver, Colo., Teresa Goff (David Goff) of McRae; sister, Teresa ‘Jo' Gorge of Burlington, Kan.; five grandchildren, Dana See (John See), Chrissy Wood (Josh Wood), Sean Palmer (Kelly Palmer), Wade Palmer (Ashlee Walker), Kyle Trewitt (Sky Perez); and six great-grandchildren, Brennan Payne, Fletcher See, Kennedy Goff, Lillyan See, Raylee Goff, and Marlee Palmer. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.
