Steve E. Strickland of Little Rock died May 3, 2021. He was born on February 27, 1947, to Marshall and Helen Strickland in Siloam Springs, Ark. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Rex Grimsley; sister-in-law, Ginia Strickland. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Ruthann; son, Eric Strickland (Deena); daughter, Kim Jackson (Keith); stepson, David Curran (Samantha); two grandchildren, Kaleb Jackson and Sybil Curran; two brothers, Mark and Doug; four nieces. Steve's career was mostly in sales, and he brought a high standard of integrity to his job. He loved to play golf and fish. But what he enjoyed most was his music. He began playing guitar in the mid-1960s and played in a folk music trio called the Troubadours. Since moving to Little Rock in 2014, Steve has enjoyed being near family, attending Trinity Presbyterian Church, serving at Stewpot, and making new friends. A graveside service for family and friends will be May 22 at 11 a.m. at Barron Cemetery in Bentonville (across from the Benton County Fairgrounds). Following the service, there will be a reception at 6349 SW Lee County Rd, Bentonville, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Steve's name to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4501 Rahling Rd., Little Rock, Ark. 72223.
