Carroll Allen Ison

Carroll Allen Ison, 77, of Plainview passed from this life on May 18, 2021. He was born October 4, 1943, in Little Rock, Ark., to the late Edward and Ruby Shirley Ison. Mr. Ison was a 22-year veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, gardening, collecting arrowheads and telling tales around a bonfire with family and friends. In addition to his parents, a brother, Howard Ison, preceded him in death. Survivors include children Lisa (Sam) Coulter of North Little Rock, Mark (Amber) Ison of Little Rock, Allison Phillips (Andrew Webre) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Daniel, Tanner and Hunter King, Avery Phillips and Ava Ison. Other survivors include great-grandchild, Jordyn King; siblings, Morris Ison of El Paso, Carolyn (Richard) Smith of Sherwood; along with a host of extended family and friends. Shaun Fraley, David Shelby, George Anousakes, Daniel King, Tanner King and Hunter King will serve as pallbearers. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2021, in the Chapel at First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock with Pastor J. N. Holmes officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2021, at the Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.
