William "Skeeter" Henry, age 74 of Glen Rose passed away on Thursday May 20, 2021. He was born November 9, 1946, in Bearden, Ark., the son of the late Ralph and Stella Pate Henry. Skeeter owned and operated Henry's Mercantile for 14 years. He was a member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church. Skeeter loved to play jokes on people, tell jokes, sing, plant trees, ride his tractors, and run his dogs and cook. He was his mother-in-law's caregiver for nine years and developed a son and mother relationship. He was an avid Razorback fan and collected antique cars. Skeeter loved to keep his yard immaculate. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Michelle Henry and siblings, Jean Waggoner, Jimmy Henry and Mary Daniel. Survivors, wife, whom he married on March 9, 1990, Shirley Murry Henry; sons, Brian Henry of Benton, Jason Henry of North Little Rock and Chad Fite of Jonesboro; sisters, Linda McClenahan of Bauxite and Shirley McCoig Sullivan of Alexander; grandchildren, Dawson Henry, Madison Henry, Abigail Henry, Tucker Fite, Hunter Fite and Shaley Chansuolme. Visitation will be Sunday, May 23 from 2-4 p.m., at Regency Funeral Home. Service will be Monday, May 24 at 10 a.m., at Regency Funeral Home with Revered Jeff Ladd and Brian Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be Greg Tuberville, Ralph McClenahan, Steve Norwood, Trey McClenahan, Gary Griggs and Brooks Crain. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Murry and Tommy Green. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital in Shreveport or Arkansas Children's Hospital. Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
