Virginia Gay VanVleck, 93, of Mountain Home, Ark., passed from this life on Monday, October 25, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Virginia was born October 7, 1928, to Dratie Alexander Miller and Mary Mae (Bush) Miller in Holly Grove, Arkansas. Virginia leaves to mourn her passing stepson, Charles E. VanVleck and wife Barb of Westland, Michigan; three brothers, Rodney Miller of Cave Springs, Arkansas, Frank Miller and wife Jenny of Holly Grove, Arkansas, and Charles Miller and wife Jo Ann of Salem, Arkansas; two sisters, Pat Benz and husband Ray of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Peggy Evans of Marianna, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Carolyn Banks Miller of Fredericksburg, Virginia; sister-in-law, Flo Miller of Holly Grove, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles VanVleck, parents, Dratie and Mary Miller, four brothers, Dratie Miller, Jimmy Miller, D.A. Miller, Jr., and Gene Miller, and two sisters, Mary Miller Seaborn and Ruth Miller Mooney. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Holly Grove Presbyterian Church in Holly Grove, Arkansas, with The Reverend Fern Davis officiating. Memorials may be made to the Holly Grove Presbyterian Church in care of Jean Kirkpatrick, 51 Kirkpatrick Lane, Holly Grove, Arkansas, 72069. Final resting place will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Holly Grove, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
