Dennis Lee Doty

Dennis Lee Doty, 70, of Elm Springs, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord November 25, 2021. He was born April 2, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark., the son of the late Harlon and Alice Everson Doty. Dennis was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers, Ark. He had retired from Tyson foods after 38 years of service, and served in various positions for the city of Elm Springs, Ark., for a number of years. In his early years, he enjoyed coaching Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all outdoor activities, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Dennis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carla Barnett Doty of the home; son, Shohn Doty of Gastonia, N.C.; sister, Donna Scott and husband Jonnie of Barling, Ark.; grandchildren, Bethany Doty of Charlotte, N.C., Blake Doty and wife, Melissa, of Rogers, Ark., and great-grandchildren, Beaux, Jackson, and Harrison. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Ark., 72762, with Sam Hannon officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Pallbearers will be Blake Doty, Rick Beard, Matt Casey, Javier Matzunaga, Ron Vaness and Loy Burks. Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Barnes, Jonnie Scott, Gene Barnett, Dusty Ford, Ken Scott, and Jeff Seiter.
