Elmer Wayne Gabbard

Elmer Wayne Gabbard, 82, of Combs, passed away October 7, 2021, at Willard Walker Hospice House, Fayetteville. He was born June 2, 1939, at Combs, to Eddie and Oma Gabbard. Elmer married Billie Thomas on May 16, 1958, at Pateros, Washington. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Glenn, Norman, and Howard; and four sisters, Geneva, Flora, Thelma, and Ruth. He is survived by his wife, Billie, of the home; two sons, Steven Gabbard (friend, Enna) of Elkins; and Bobby Gabbard of Combs; one daughter, Sharon Kendrick (Allen) of Hindsville; two granddaughters, Rachel Bradley (David) of West Fork; and Amy Johnson of Hindsville; one great-granddaughter, Dixie Bradley; one sister, Helen Rockwell (Bob) of Abilene, Kansas, and several nieces and nephews. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Cremation is entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
