Linda Carroll Walton Newkirk

Linda Carroll Walton Newkirk, age 73, of Mayflower, Ark., passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021. She was born on July 20, 1948, in Kathleen, Ga. She is preceded in death by her parents, David M. and Omie S. Walton; brothers, David Jewitt Walton and James Dewitt "Sonny" Walton; sister Eugenia Fay Walton; and grandson, Dylan Johnston. Linda is survived by her son, Paul A Duffy III (Alesia); granddaughter, Lauren Johnston; great-grandchildren, Aaden Johnston, Arabella Johnston, and Matthew Johnston; and sister, Janet Walton (David Lieberman) from Reno, Nev. Linda enjoyed writing and playing the piano. She was a philanthropist, and enjoyed traveling the world praying for others. Burial will be in Roberta, Ga., at Roberta City Cemetery at a later date.
