Gary Lynn Thompson

Gary Lynn Thompson, 81 of Bryant, Ark., died Thursday, October 14, 2021. He was born July 28, 1940, in Brandon, Miss., He was the son of Olgie (Cook) Thompson and Burnice Richard Thompson of Brandon, Miss. He is survived by his wife, Veda (Pinkston) Thompson; one son, Richard Scott Thompson, of Alexander, Ark., one daughter, Sherri Thompson of Atlanta, Ga.; one grandson, Laurence Blake Weakley of Atlanta, Ga.; one granddaughter, Dakota Christian of Mabelvale, Ark.; two sisters, Faye McKay of Brandon, Miss., Jennie White of Brandon, Miss.; one brother, Johnny Shepherd and his wife, Teresa, of Pearl, Miss. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Thompson; sister, Mary (Thompson) Holloway; mother, Olgie (Cook) Thompson; and father, Burnice Richard Thompson. Gary was a loving and devoted father and husband. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Services will be graveside, private family only. Officiating pastor John Tracy, First Assembly of God at Otter Creek.
