Joyce Godbey Moore

Joyce Godbey Moore, 90, completed her earthly journey on October 21, 2021. Joyce was born on March 10, 1931, in Russellville, Arkansas, the fourth child of Andrew Wyle Godbey, Sr. and Ora Lee Gamble. She graduated from Atkins High School in 1948. She married John A. Moore in 1961 and they made their home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where they were owners of Moore's Furniture Company. Joyce volunteered her time to multiple organizations, but her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, and homemaker. Her meals were legendary!! She moved to Hot Springs in 1993 and was a member of Saint Luke's Episcopal Church. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings; Andrew Wyle Godbey Jr., Marilyn Jean Woodson, Dorothy Ann Wiley, Lynn Sisney Godbey, Martha Ruth Godbey Miller, Donald Edward Godbey and Wanda Jane Godbey Cariker. Joyce is survived by her son, Eddie Bradford (Carolyn), grandson, Jake Bradford (Morgan), step-grandson, Jimbo Snow (Yolanda) and step-granddaughter, Laney Metz (Tim). She leaves to cherish her memory a host of relatives and friends that affectionately called her "Granny". There will be a celebration of Joyce's life at a later date. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hot Springs or Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs.
