Dowlen F. "Bud" Whitman

Dowlen F. "Bud" Whitman, 81, of Rogers, passed away October 25, 2021, at his home. He was born April 30, 1940, in Canyon, Texas, the son of Glenn and Mary Dowlen Whitman. Bud retired from the Los Angeles Police Department in 1989 and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cave Springs. He is preceded in death by his first wife Betty Jo "Jody", one brother, Charles and one grandson, Garrett. He is survived by his wife, Sheri; his children, Chris Whitman, Mark Whitman, and Debbie DeForge; two brothers, Glenn and Steven "Chris" Whitman and eight grandchildren. Visitation Friday, October 29, 2021, from 10 to 11 a.m., with funeral services at 11 a.m., First Baptist Church in Cave Springs. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Gravette.
