Anna Lou Pierce Meaux

ANNA LOU ABSHIRE PIERCE MEAUX, 95 years young, left us for her forever home in heaven. Born on July 5, 1926 the second oldest of 14 children to Odea and Olita Abshire in Abbeville, La. She is predeceased by her father and mother and eight brothers and two sisters, Malcolm G. Pierce, husband 1948 to his passing in 1973, and James Meaux, husband 1999 to 2000, grandson William G. Pierce. Mother leaves her children Michael Pierce (Lavada) of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Marie Pierce of North Little Rock, Ark., and James M. Pierce (Charlene) of Little Rock, Ark., three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mother was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village. She missed going to church, her friends and the many church activities due to Covid-19. Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Little Rock, Ark., on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 10 a.m., with service following at 11 a.m., Father Bill Elser, presiding. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Wright Ave and Woodrow in Little Rock, Ark. A memorial service will be held in Abbeville, La., at a date to be announced.
