Erick Regan Biley

Mr. Erick Regan Biley was born September 22, 1956, in Tamo, Ark., to Samuel Biley, Sr., and the late Vanilla Williams Biley. He peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at his residence. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour at an early age, at Marzell Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Silas Easterling. He held numerous positions within the church and faithfully served as a Deacon until his death. He graduated from Vester High School in Moscow, Ark., May 1974, with honors. He then pursued and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Ark., May 1979, and was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Erick acquired professional/educational skills in construction, concrete finishing, laborer, and mathematics, until choosing to become a full-time, dedicated engineer with Union Pacific Railroad, from 1979 to present (42 years of service). He was united in holy matrimony to Versie Lee Byrd on June 10, 1978, and to this union four children were born: Tamela Biley, Little Rock, Ark.; Allison Biley, Grand Prairie, Texas; Alan Biley (Tamara), Corsicana, Texas, and Tamara Biley, Pine Bluff, Ark.; and two grandsons, Antwone Vernard Miller, Jr., and Bradlee Eric Miller. Other survivors include Samuel Biley, Sr., father; siblings, Samuel Biley, Jr. (Rose), Magnolia, Ark.; Karen Hansen, Florissant, Mo.; Michael Biley (Leah), West Monroe, La.; Dewayne Biley (Janice), Bossier City, La.; Tracie Gatewood (Kenneth Sr.), Pine Bluff, Ark.; Stacy Biley, Rock Springs, Wyo.; Kenneth Biley (Bobbie Joe), Houston, Texas; Margaret Jones (Joseph), Lees Summit, Mo.; Kimberly Biley, Elizabethtown, Ky.; aunt, Flossie Davis (Audrey), Kansas City, Mo.; a special cousin, Annie Biley, Pine Bluff, Ark.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Erick lived a promising and fulling life as a devoted man of God, husband, father, family member, friend, and colleague to all who knew him. He was committed to God's word, righteous living, praise, worship, and was a faithful member at Marzell Missionary Baptist Church. He studied God's word daily, developing a personal relationship with God and praying/seeking God's guidance in his daily living and for his family. His love for gardening/lawncare ministered throughout his community, focusing on blessings others with vegetables from his garden. He enjoyed the outdoors, mowing his lawn, walking/jogging, basketball, reading, and listening to gospel songs. Erick had a passion for watching his grandsons learn/play football, basketball, and baseball. Often teaching/training them the importance of God's word, obedience, and respect. He was a man of few words, and will be missed as a man of noble character. Funeral services, private-family only will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Marzell Missionary Baptist Church, 200 South Highway 65, Gould, Ark. 71643. Viewing will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Brown Funeral Home, 2704 Commerce Circle, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71601, from 8-9 p.m. Burial entrusted to Forrest Lawn Cemetery, Pine Bluff, Ark.
